The Museum of Future Sound

A poem exploring an alternative history of sound in the C20th, embodied in the fictional space of the Museum of Future Sound: an amorphous and contradictory space of possibility and destruction. The poem imagines its emergence through the sonic avant-garde of the early twentieth century, and then its dissolution in the listening of those other-ed by the avant-garde canon. The museum blurs and disintegrates into feeling, and into a multi- or post- sensory space that exists between people rather than walls.
